I always wonder how fascinating a day free of phone calls, office meetings, binge eating, traffic snarls would feel like. Imagine a day where you don’t need to wake up early, don’t experience office blues, have all the time in the world to eat and your entire day is filled with nothing but activities of your choice. One fine day, a rather strange thought struck me! I realized that I neither have to day dream nor do I have to land up in a fantasy land to enjoy all these. I only need to pack my
bags and head straight to that enthralling holiday destination where a land full of fun and frolic awaits me. No cubicles, no desktops or laptops, no lunch or coffee at your desk. It is just me with my loved ones and more importantly at my will.
You can make your holidays more exciting by planning your holidays. That is precisely what I started with. My holiday planning included the kind of place I would want to visit that would help me rejuvenate, the time of the year I would want to visit the place, my travel arrangements, the people accompanying me on my holiday and also the my budget constraints. Some people who are adventurous may prefer setting out to explore new places while others may prefer the calmness
of a sea-shore. I being the former decided on a place which promised me all the thrills and chills and the excitement of exploring a completely unknown place. The pros of opting for such a place is that since not many people know about the place, there is a great probability of coming across fewer people and avoiding the crowd. This would also let me spend a lot of time in tranquility with my loved ones. An added advantage here was that I not only got to know about the amazing history of this place but also got a chance to experience the local delicacies and interact with the locals to know more about their ethnicity. Viewing a sunrise or sunset at your own home might sound normal and may not really entice you, but the beauty of a sunrise or a sunset is something you should experience at the new place. A small tip I would recommend during a holiday is to sleep less. Invest your time in exploring the new place and experience the beauty of nature.
A holiday is a much needed break that not only reignites your spirits but also helps you bond well with your loved ones. It also serves as an apt option to create better synergy among individuals. Holiday instigates a healthy feeling and helps you keep your spirits high and I realized it was just what was missing in my life. It lets you be what you want, lets you do what you want, and all this at your convenience. Say hello to those lazy days and make it a habit to take this option of holidays to ensure you are always on the go!
